The center is directed by Dr. Baik Seung Hyuk, M.D., Ph.D., FASCRS — formerly professor of surgery at Yonsei Severance Hospital (2006–2022) and head of its Colorectal Cancer Center, who performed Asia's first robotic rectal cancer surgery (2006) and the world's first 100 robotic rectal cancer cases (2007).
